Forum Rules

  • 1. Accounts

    • Account sharing is not allowed. Users are responsible for keeping their data private and for the content posted from their accounts.
    • Multi-accounts are not allowed. Every user is only permitted to have one single forum account.
    • If you share an IP with another person (relatives, flat mates, etc.), you must notify the forum team of this through the support system. Notifications after a penalty may not be considered.
    • Usage of any kind of anonymization services (IP maskers, VPN, GPN, proxies, etc.) is not allowed.
    • Banned users are not allowed to participate in the forum with other accounts. If you want to object to a ban, you can do so through the support system.
    • You can request for an account to be deleted by contacting the forum team through the support system. Please note that deletion is permanent and cannot be reverted.
    • If your account is deleted, you will be able to register a new one. However, if you had any prior warnings or temporary bans, you must contact the forum team via the support system to notify them about the newly created account and your previous punishments within the next 48 hours, as these must be carried over to your new account.

    2. Behavior

    • Offensive and inappropriate content is not allowed in the forum. That includes, but is not limited to, insults, trolling, discriminatory, extremist, vulgar, sexual, drug-related, slanderous or illegal content, even if it’s censored.
    • Advertising, naming or encouraging the use of forbidden and illegal software is not allowed. That includes, but is not limited to, hacks, bots, macros, scripts, cracks, and any other content contravening the Game Rules or Gameforge’s Terms of Use.
    • Encouraging the use of bugs and exploits or breaking any rules (game, forum, Discord, Terms of Use, etc.) is not allowed.
    • Impersonating staff members is not allowed. That includes, but is not limited to, trying to do a moderator’s job, posting and acting as a team member or using their nicknames, signatures and avatars.
    • Posting private information or conversations is not allowed.
    • Advertising services and games that are not offered by Gameforge is not allowed.
    • Discussing sanctions and moderation in public spaces is not allowed. If you want to complain about such situations from the game or the forum, please send a ticket via the respective support system.
    • Public reports about other players are not allowed.
    • If you want to report an infraction in the game, please contact the game team through the support system.
    • If you want to report an infraction in the forum, you can use the ‘Report Content‘ button at the bottom-right of each post. Please note that abusing the report button without a valid reason may lead to a penalty.

    3. Posting

    • The official languages of the forum are English, Czech, French, Italian, Polish, Spanish and Turkish. However, their use is allowed permitted in the respective sections.
    • Flood, spam and off-topic content is only allowed in the respective forum sections.
    • The abuse of quotes, spoilers, capital letters, text format or emojis is not allowed. The forum team will determine whether these features are being abused.
    • Polls are only allowed if the context of the thread justifies them. The forum team may close and archive a thread if this is not the case.
    • Videos and images that are too large or resource-intensive must be placed inside a spoiler to avoid excessive download times. Dynamic images or gifs that could cause health issues will be removed by the forum team.
    • Use the right section to post your threads.
    • Before you start a new thread, please use the search function to check if there isn’t an older thread about the same topic or issue.
    • Titles and labels assigned to threads must always match the content of the thread you are posting.
    • Before posting a message or a new thread, follow the instructions from each section. You will always find these instructions pinned at the top of the section.
    • Bumping threads and double-posting is not allowed unless the section instructions say otherwise. If you believe a bump or double-post makes sense in a certain context, please request the authorization of a moderator for the section.

    4. Forum Team

    • All complaints about the forum team must follow the proper hierarchy:
      For complaints about a Moderator or Trial Moderator, contact a Super Moderator.
      For complaints about a Super Moderator, contact a Forum Administrator.
      For complaints about a Forum Administrator, contact a Team Manager.
      For complaints about a Team Manager, contact a Community Manager.
      The Community Manager is the final authority in the forum team and their decisions are definitive.

    5. Profiles

    • Nicknames, avatars, signatures and any other profile information and customisation must stick to the rules regarding forbidden and inappropriate content.
    • Users can request a nickname change every 30 days by contacting the forum team through the support system.
    • Avatar and signature sizes and dimensions are limited by forum restrictions and may be rejected or automatically adjusted if these are exceeded:
    • Avatars:
      Height and width are fixed at 128x128 pixels.
      Size is limited to 100 KB.
    • Signatures:
      Height: 150 pixels – Width: 400 pixels
      Size is limited to 500 KB.
    • Trying to extend the avatar or the signature size and dimensions or the signature and bio length beyond the limits mentioned in these rules and the automatic forum restrictions is not allowed.
    • Dynamic images or gifs are allowed; however, if the forum team consider that a certain image could cause health issues, it will be removed from the user’s profile.
    • Users are only allowed to have one image as a signature, except for banners authorized by the forum team for events, contests or awards.

    6. Measures

    • Users who break the rules may receive the following punishments:
      Friendly reminder to follow the rules
      Warning
      Temporary ban
      Permanent ban
    • Punishments in the forum may be transferred to other Gameforge platforms, including the game, if they are considered serious enough by the NosTale Team. In the same way, punishments received in the game and other official platforms may be transferred to the forum.
    • All these rules will be applied to the whole forum. This includes, but is not limited to, posts, threads, profiles, avatars, nicknames, signatures, attachments, private messages, etc.
    • The interpretation and correct application of these rules will depend on the forum team exclusively.
