Hello Nostale players!
This thread's purpose is to help you successfully spot the real staff members of the Nostale team and prevent you from trusting any possible fake GM or Mod.

In-Game
You can easily spot Game Masters in the game with their tag before their name [GM] along with their purple name. For example [GM]Morgoth.
Game Masters are also the only ones with power inside the game and are able to assist you with any problem you may have.
When being addressed by a Game Master.
- Normal Game Master chat will always appear as purple. 
- If a Game Master whispers you the lines will again be purple and before their name you will see "From GM". 
- Inside a raid Game Master's chat will appear as golden. 
* Note: If a Game Master uses the party chat then there will be no differences and the chat will appear green. (Which is why we try to avoid it) 
If anyone contacts you and does not meet any of the above points then it means that person is a fake Game Master and is trying to scam you or gain access to your account.
You can always report such people to us via the ticket system: [ Ticket Support ]
Game Masters will never ask you for items or gold they will also never trade you or ask you for your passwords. Similarly a Game Master will never give you anything out of their good heart, if something sounds too good to be true then it probably is.
On Forum
Make sure the person who contacted you via PM is actually in the Nostale Team list.
If someone's name is -Hoperice- but in the team list it shows ~Hoperice~ then you know this is not the real Game Administrator since the name is different.
An example on the differences you gonna spot between a legit team member and a fake one.
The far left is a fake team account while the middle and far right ones are real team accounts.
You gonna spot the following differences:
- The real team members names are just Bittersweet and Lady Sky. The fake one is [GM]Juiced.
- Team members names on the forum will have a color that is not the default color users have. In this case its red and pink.
- Bittersweet has an avatar the fake account used the Community Manager rank image as their avatar.
- Bittersweet and Lady Sky have more than 0 posts. The fake accounts will not have any posts and if they do it will be about advertising a scamming site or anything similar.
The only time a real team forum account will have 0 posts is when the said team account is a new hired member, in that case you can tell by the avatar and rank icon both being up. - Most team members have a special rank title. In this case Bittersweet's title rank is "Game Admina" with the Game Admin rank picture. Lady Sky's rank title is "Community Manager" with the Community Manger rank picture.
The Fake account is a "Beginner" with the normal leaf icon image. - The registration date. Most of the fake accounts will have a Date of Registration that is the same or very close to the day you get the message/they post the message.
While the picture might not be very accurate right now due to the new forum, I believe it is still good enough for now to raise awareness if anything similar happens.
Discord
In the #support channel of the english section, you will find a list of all the members of the english part of the Nostale Team.
If you left click any of the linked names, a new window will open up where you can see the NosTale Team role.
In the user list on the right you can also find members of the Nostale Team. Everybody having the NosTale Team or Community Manager role is a real Nostale Team member.
Quality Assurance, Tester and Gameforge are other official roles but not related to the game support team.
Content Creator is a role assigned to players creating Nostale content videos. They are not part of the game support team.
In Discord, real team members will never:
- send you a friend request
- contact you first via private message
- offer you any gifts
- refer you to any non official website
- ask you for your login information
We do not offer any kind of account related support through Discord. You will always be requested to submit a ticket.
Notes
- Team members will never give out free nosdollars/coupons unless you win an event or it is an event. In that case we will PM you the coupon code and you do not have to go to another website to get it.
- Team members will never ask you for your password as we do not need it for any reason.
- Team members will generally only link you to the official Gameforge sites or Nostale forum/website. A thread or a post or anything similar.
- Examples: Forum | Billing Support | Game Support | Nostale Website | Gameforge
- We will never PM you and give you a random shady-looking website that would require you to fill your in-game details in order to receive a coupon/nosdollars or an item.
If you are ever in doubt and cant figure out if the person who is contacting you in any way is a real team member or not feel free to check the Nostale Team page as you hover your mouse to a team member you will notice options popping up, press "Create Conversation" this will allow you to clarify and confirm that you are now talking with the real person.
